The font lineup
We don’t pick fonts for the sake of it. Every typeface has a job, and each one was chosen to do it well.
Inter Tight

For headlines
Tight, confident and modern. Inter Tight is built for the big moments, where every word needs to land.
Inter

For everything else
Highly readable at any size, from captions to long reads. Inter keeps things clear and friendly.
JetBrains Mono

For the details
Codes, values and specs. A monospaced face for anything that needs to line up or be copied exactly.
If all else fails
Some tools can’t load our fonts, such as email and Office documents. There, use Arial for headlines and text, and Courier New for anything monospaced.
Making it fun
We care about getting it right, but not so much that we forget to have a bit of fun. Good type raises eyebrows. Here’s how we do exactly that.
Spread it
A bit of curve goes a long way. Bend it along a path and let the text have some fun.
Stack it
Play with scale and stack it to pack more punch.
Wobble it
Words can move too. Use it sparingly, for moments of fun. (Hover over it.)
Repeat it
Repeat it. Stack it. Let it do its thing. It works a treat as a background.
The finer details
Good typography is in the details. The technical bits – spacing, letter gaps, the way characters join up – that nobody notices until they look wrong. Here’s what to look out for.
Mind the gap
Spacing between lines and letters (leading and tracking) matters more than you’d think. Too tight and it’s a struggle. Too loose and it drifts. Get as close to the sweet spot as your tools allow.

To cap or not to cap?
That’s the question. And we say… depends what you’re doing. Lowercase for display, sentence case for general writing, uppercase for labels. Here’s the full picture.
lowercase
For display moments. Friendly, relaxed, never shouty.
Uppercase
Full volume. Save it for labels and short headings.
Sentence case
The everyday workhorse. How we write pretty much everything.

Alternates
Inter comes with alternate characters. Use the single-storey a (character variant 11) in headlines for a friendlier feel, whenever your tool lets you.

Fractions
Use proper fractions in specs and measurements. Switch on the fractions feature and 1/2 becomes a neat, single character.
